C

hristie Craig is an award-winning, multi-published writer whose non-fiction and photography have appeared in almost three thousand national magazines. A Golden Heart finalist, and a finalist in more than fifty RWA-sponsored contests, she has gained a well-deserved reputation for writing romance fiction that has both witty humor and a suspenseful, sexy tone.

Published by Silhouette in the 90s, she recently broke back into fiction in a big way, making four book sales in one day.
When asked about her goals, Christie answers, “To write a lot of books and to make a lot of people laugh.”  Accused by many of being over-the-top funny, she doesn’t deny it.  “I was born and raised by parents who just looked at life a little differently.  When things happened, and they always did to my family, like when my mom accidentally stole a car, or when my dad accidentally built a bomb, we relied on humor to deal with things.  So, I can’t help being over the top.  I’m just wired this way.”

A mother of two, and a wife to one, (the first husband doesn’t count—remember the bomb her dad built?) she spends a lot of time writing, trying to stay on a diet, wishing she were taller, being mommy to her four cats and one dog,  and attempting to balance work, family, and fun.  Short, but not short on spunk, her motto is:  How can I write about life if I don’t live it?

Her love of public speaking and a secret desire to be a stand up comic lends itself well to the writing-related workshops that she presents, both solo and with her nonfiction writing partner, Faye Hughes.

Weddings Can Be Murder
Dorchester
June 2008
ISBN: TBD

TILL DEATHS DO YOU PART…
Katie Ray was about to marry a man she didn’t love—and who didn’t love her.  Even losing her $8,000 engagement ring wasn’t enough of a sign to call things off.  What did it take?  Being locked in the closet with a sexy PI, and being witness to murder.

…OR THEY BRING YOU TOGETHER
Carl Hades hardly wanted to be shackled with another man’s soon-to-be wife, especially when the gorgeous redhead stirred emotions he’d avoided for years.  He’d been hired by an elite Houston wedding planner to investigate some missing brides. When those brides turned up dead, Carl saw where the whole situation was headed—just like Katie’s wedding ring and her ceremony—right down the toilet.  Because, while Katie was suddenly and delightfully available, he had a feeling she was next in line to die. And before he could ask her to say “I do,” he had to know who would say “I did it."

Divorced, Desperate, and Delicious
Dorchester
November 2007
ISBN: 9780505527301

Ever since photographer Lacy Maguire caught her ex playing Pin the Secretary to the Elevator Wall, she's been content with her dog Fabio, her three cats, and a vow of chastity. But all that changes when the reindeer-antlered Fabio drags in a very desperate, on-the-run detective who decides to take refuge in her house--a house filled with twinkling lights and a decorated tree. (Okay, so it's February. but she has a broken heart to mend, a Christmas-card shoot to do, and a six-times divorced, match-making mother to appease.) For the first time in a looong while, Lacy reconsiders her vow. Because sexy Chase Kelly, wounded soul that he may be, would be an oh-so-delicious way of breaking her fast. Now, if she can just keep them both alive and him out of jail...
