Friday, Sept. 6th: Aria McCall

   Ms. Aria McCall is a graduate of Texas A & M university with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. She has worked in both the Dallas and Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s offices for a combined 18 years as a forensic toxicologist.  

   She is board certified as a Forensic Toxicologist Specialist from the American Board of Forensic Toxicology and currently holds the position of Technical Lead in her department. 

   In addition to her casework, she also helps train new employees in toxicology and provides expert testimony in the area of forensic toxicology for cases going to court.

Forensic Toxicology and Why It Matters In Fiction

   An overview of the field of forensic toxicology and how we fit into death investigations, criminal cases, and the legal system.  A little science thrown in for a background into the forensic laboratory setting and the types of drugs and specimens that are tested.  A few case presentations and resources for context into how forensic toxicology plays a part in a larger investigation. 

McCall's talk will be held at The Courtyard Marriott in the Discovery Room on Friday at 7pm

Saturday, Sept. 7th: Brian D. Meeks

     Brian Meeks is a fiction author with twelve novels across five genres. He has used his background in data analytics to turn his once hobby of blogging into a full-time career as an author. In addition, he's penned five non-fiction books, including his most successful; Mastering Amazon Ads: An Author's Guide and his newest, Mastering Amazon Descriptions: An Author's Guide.

     He teaches and coaches authors and manages a group for helping with marketing, Mastering Amazon Ads: An Author's Guide - Beta on Facebook.

     A former member of Toastmasters, he has done

competitive speaking, and regularly speaks at author conferences.

Does the ad copy matter? What about the CTR (click through ratio)?

Because, AMS ads are more than just coming up with pithy saying. It's about bid testing, analyzing results properly, and understanding how the ads fit into your overall picture of marketing. And it's about how your description converts.
